The fasting month of Ramadan has begun across the country from today. The Ruyat-e-Hilal (moon sighting) committee announced the sighting of moon last evening. <br/><br/>The worshipers thronged mosques last night to offer special night prayer called Traweeh, which will continue throughout the month. <br/><br/>Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calender. In Kerala, today is second day of holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan began across Gulf countries yesterday.<br/><br/>Prime Minister Modi has conveyed his greetings to the Muslim community. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, Ramzan deepens the bond of brotherhood and the spirit of harmony in the society.
