Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today asked all states and Union Territories to complete AADHAR seeding of beneficiaries for Aadhaar Enabled Public Distribution System by March this year. <br/><br/>Addressing conference of state Food Ministers and Food Secretaries on PDS reforms and cashless environment in New Delhi, Mr Paswan urged states to expedite the process of reforms. He praised Andhra Pradesh and Daman and Diu for successfully implementing digital payments using biometric terminals in Fair Price Shops through Aadhar Enabled Payment System. <br/><br/>The Minister observed that National Food Security Act has been implemented nationwide. He said, under the Act, his Ministry is providing food security to 81 crore people of the nation.<br/><br/>Mr Paswan took stock of the progress made by the states in implementing reforms in PDS and cashless payments. He also sought to know the various problems faced by the states in bringing the reforms.
