The festival of Ram Navmi is being celebrated today with traditional religious fervour and gaiety.

The President and the Prime Minister have greeted the people on the occasion. In her message, the President Mrs Pratibha Devisingh Patil said the festival inspires all countrymen to serve humanity with dedication and devotion.

Dr. Manmohan Singh in his message, said the festival is a celebration of Lord Ram’s belief and adherence to morality and righteousness amidst all difficulties. He said, it is an occasion to rededicate ourselves to a life of commitment and compassion.
