Ram Kripal Yadav quits from all Rashtriya Janata Dal posts, but says, he is still a member of the party.

Ram Kripal Yadav has resigned from all party posts in Rashtriya Janata Dal, RJD. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi this morning, Yadav however said that he is still a member of the party. He also said that he has not resigned from the Rajya Sabha.

Yadav was upset over denial of ticket to contest Lok Sabha polls from Pataliputra in Bihar, from where RJD Chief Lalu Prasad’s daughter Misa Bharti was named as party candidate.

AIR correspondent reports that Misa met Ram Kripal Yadav Friday in Delhi and tried to persuade him not to leave the party.

Referring to Bharti's visit to his home, Yadav said, it was an emotional blackmail. He said, the party that was born to uphold the principles of social justice now appeared to be interested in family justice.
