<span style="color: #222222;">Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh has urged civil servants to gain people's trust in the government by living up to their expectations and ambitions and pro-actively engaging with them. Addressing a group of successful candidates of the UPSC Civil Services Examination at a function held in Lucknow on Sunday, he emphasised that if administrators engage with the public more easily, people's trust in democracy will grow exponentially. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dynamic leadership is making the vision of a developed India more than just a pipe dream, adding that it is becoming reality. Highlighting Mr. Modi's vision of a developed India by 2047, Raksha Mantri said young civil servants have a vital role in building such a nation.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Emphasising the role of people's representatives in day-to-day governance and democracy, Mr. Singh stressed that civil servants must listen carefully and act on the suggestions made by public representatives. Admiring the phenomenal performance of women in civil services examination in recent years, Rajnath Singh said girls occupying the top 3 positions, and 14 girls out of the top 25 present the picture of a changing India, a New India.</span><br />
