The Festival of Raksha Bandhan, which celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters, is being celebrated in different parts of the country today. <br/><br/>The President the Vice President and the Prime Minister have greeted the people on the occasion.<br/><br/>President Pranab Mukherjee conveyed warm greetings on Raksha Bandhan and good wishes to all citizens in India and abroad. Mr. Mukherjee said this festival underlines the need for enhancing efforts for the welfare of women and for all men to do their utmost to ensure the safety and security of women in society.<br/><br/>The Vice President Hamid Ansari greeted the people and in his message said that Rakshabandhan reaffirms the strong bond of love and affection between brothers and sisters.
