Mr Rakesh Kumar Chaturvedi has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE. His appointment was made by the Prime Minister-headed Appointment Committee of the Cabinet. <br/><br/>In an official order yesterday, it said Mr. Chaturvedi, a 1987 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh, has been appointed for a period of five years. The post was lying vacant since December 2014.
