Rajya Sabha witnessed noisy scenes on several issues in Delhi

The Rajya Sabha today witnessed noisy scenes on several issues including the continued agitation by farmers of Tamil Nadu in Delhi. The issue was raised by members belonging to DMK, AIADMK and Left Parties during the Zero Hour. Responding to this, Deputy Chairman P J Kurien suggested that a central minister can meet them. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said this is a sensitive issue and he will convey the directions of the Chair to the concerned Minister. <br/><br/>Naresh Agrawal of the Samajwadi Party raised the issue of former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, now under custody of Pakistan. He wanted that the government should clarify its stand in the House. Senior Congress leader A K Antony said Pakistan should be strongly told about the consequences. <br/><br/>Responding to this Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mr Naqvi said External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will make a statement. Deputy Chairman Mr Kurien said the House condemns the incident. Earlier, Digvijaya Singh of the Congress wanted to know the status of his Substantive motion to discuss the government formation in Goa. He alleged that the Goa Governor acted in an unconstitutional manner in the government formation.
