<span style="color: #222222;">The Rajya Sabha was adjourned post lunch without transacting any legislative business following noisy scenes over the issue of National Register of Citizens.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The House was scheduled to take up a Short Duration Discussion on the recent increase in the Minimum Support Prices for Kharif crops and challenges in the Agricultural sector.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">However, Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad asked the Chair to allow members from Assam to participate in the discussion on National Register of Citizens. Finance Minister Piyush Goel and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Goel accused the opposition of not allowing BJP leader Amit Shah to speak. Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu said that he will request Home Minister Rajnath Singh to come and reply.&nbsp; </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress members trooped into the well in support of their demand that Prime Minister should reply to the discussion. Mr Naidu took a serious exception to party leader Derek O Brien pressing for his demand.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Expressing his displeasure the Chairman said, it has become a fashion for the agitating members to disrupt the House. He said, the members do not want to discuss the burning issue of the farmers, saying that the members did not allow the Home Minister to speak in the House.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Despite repeated appeals to go back to their seats, TMC members continued to raise slogans forcing the adjournment of the House for the day.</span><br />
