Rajya Sabha takes up Private Members' Resolution urging govt to implement recommendations of Sachar Committee report

Rajya Sabha on Friday took up Private Members' Resolution urging the government to implement the recommendations of Sachar Committee report and other reports that have discussed educational and social backwardness of Muslims. The resolution was moved by Abdul Wahab of IUML.<br />''        <br />'' Participating in the debate, Rakesh Sinha of BJP said that under the Narendra Modi government, Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas is underway. He said there is no discrimination towards the minorities and backward classes and electricity, water and other amenities are reaching every part of the nation.<br />''        <br />'' RKD's Manoj Kumar Jha alleged that polarisation, mob lynching and hate crimes are on the rise. He said polarisation of the society will not benefit anyone. He said things must be seen from a human rights angle rather than the angle of religion.<br />''      <br />'' Jebi Mather of Congress said every Indian should be taken along as country moved towards being a developed nation. She said Maulana Azad National Fellowship should not have been discontinued.<br />''      <br />''The discussion remained inconclusive.
