<span style="color: #222222;">The Rajya Sabha today took up the private member resolution related to form a civilization-culture cell at the national and state level with adequate financial assistance to the groups associated with such traditions and micro-cultures for discussion. The resolution was moved by BJP MP Rakesh Sinha in the House. Speaking on it, Mr Sinha said that India is an ancient civilization which has developed through thousands of years of civilizational journey. He said, it is a &nbsp;knowledge tradition that has been renowned for its excellence in all spheres of human life.&nbsp;</span><br />''<br />''He said, the Indian knowledge tradition had to face neglect due to long years of colonial slavery as the colonial culture tried to create a sense of inferiority towards it. Mr Sinha, stressed on the need to promote the Indian knowledge tradition and promote all those things of knowledge which establishes India as a country of &nbsp;civilization.&nbsp; Participating in the discussion, Jawhar Sircar of TMC &nbsp;endorsed the view of Mr Sinha and said that we must take pride in the achievements of India.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''<br />''T K S Elangovan of DMK supported the resolution saying that India is one of the oldest country with rich culture. Dr Yami Yagnik of Congress supported the resolution &nbsp;saying that India is rich in culture and we should not forget our traditional knowledge and culture. Other members including &nbsp;Manoj Kumar Jha of RJD, Sanjay Singh of AAP, Members from Ship Pratap Shukla , Prakash Javadekar and Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe of &nbsp;BJP &nbsp;and Sujeet Kumar of BJD participated in the discussion.<br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The discussion on the resolution remained inconclusive.</span><br />
