<span style="color: #222222;">Rajya Sabha today took up discussion on the working of Jal Shakti Ministry. Initiating the discussion, Digvijay Singh of Congress questioned the target of the government to provide tap water to every household by 2024. He said with the pace the scheme is being implemented the goal looks a farfetched objective. He also raised the issue of tanker mafias operating in Madhya Pradesh and demanded government's attention towards addressing the issue. Another party MP Shakti Sinh Gohil demanded that adequate grants should be made available to different projects related to drinking water, Namami Ganga and other hygiene and Swachhta schemes.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp; </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Manoj Jha of RJD also spoke over the issue and raised concern over the growing demand of packed water even in far flung areas. Praful Patel of NCP asked the government to raise more funds to complete the water related projects in the country. K Ravindra Kumar of TDP demanded early completion of Polavaram Project. Some other members including Kanta Kadam of BJP also spoke on the issue. The discussion will continue tomorrow in the Upper House.</span>
