Rajya Sabha returns J&K Appropriation Bills, 2020 to Lok Sabha

The Rajya Sabha today returned the Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bills, 2020 to Lok Sabha. The bills have budgetary provision of one lakh crore rupees for the Union Territory for 2020-21. The bills were approved with voice vote. Replying to the related discussion, Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur said, corruption-free governance has been provided in J & K after the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35-A.  <br />'' <br />'' He said, the Centre is committed for the over all development of the region. Mr Thakur dismissed the Congress claim that majority of the fund has been allocated for the administration and security and other developmental works have been neglected. <br />'' <br />'' Earlier, initiating the discussion, Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad alleged that under the present regime, development has been stopped and it has gone down in comparison to previous years. He hoped that the next such bills will be passed in the Legislative Assembly of J&K.<br />''  <br />''Participating in the discussion, Rakesh Sinha of BJP said, after the abrogation of the special status of the Jammu and Kashmir, unprecedented growth has been registered in the region. <br />
