Rajya Sabha has resumed sitting and taking up discussion on the motion of thanks to the President for his address to a joint sitting of both Houses. <br/><br/>Initiating discussion, Amit Shah of BJP listed out Congress' failures in his maiden Rajya Sabha speech. He said the country was in the fear of development in 2013. <br/><br/>Mr Shah pointed out that for the first time after independence, a non-Congress party was given mandate by the public and it was BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said in spite of getting an absolute majority, BJP formed the government with NDA members.
