The Rajya Sabha has resumed the short duration discussion on the situation arising out of the reported increase in the incidents of lynching and atrocities on minorities and dalits across the country. <br/><br/>Naresh Gujral of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) suggested the setting up of special courts to try people involved in lynching incidents. <br/><br/>Kapil Sibal of Congress questioned the government the motif behind the violent incidents by a section of the society against their own people. <br/><br/>Stating that such incidents had not taken place in the past, Sibal said why they are happening since 2014. Saying that what is happening is not right Sibal alleged Prime Minister Modi is creating an environment in the country for such incidents to happen. <br/><br/>Responding to this Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi pleaded with the Chair stating that Sibal should authenticate the allegations made by him or otherwise they must be expunged from record. <br/><br/>Sharad Yadav of JD(U) said the maximum number of mob lynching cases have taken place in Jharkhand followed by Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
