Rajya Sabha resumes discussion on Finance Bill

The Rajya Sabha has resumed discussion on the Finance Bill 2017, which will give effect to the financial proposals of the central government for the financial year 2017-18. <br/><br/>Initiating the discussion, Harivansh of the JD(U said Income Tax officials have been given unlimited powers to question the tax payers. As a result, Chartered Accountants are biggest beneficiaries. <br/><br/>Tapan Kumar Sen of the CPI-M demanded that non-financial issues should be withdrawn from the finance bill. He said that the finance bill should be sent back to the Lok Sabha for its reconsideration.
