<span style="color: #222222;">Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till 1 PM following protest by the Congress-led opposition over the situation in the North-Eastern States after the enactment of Citizenship (Amendment) Act.<br />'' <br />'' When the House met after adjournment at 12 Noon, Derek O'Brien of TMC raised the issue saying the violence has erupted in many parts of the North-East and urged the Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu to allow him to speak.<br />'' <br />'' The Chairman denied the permission saying it is a Question Hour. Following this, TMC members trooped into the well and raised slogans against the government. Congress members also came into the well demanding government response over the situation.<br />'' <br />'' &nbsp;They were supported by Left, Samajwadi Party, DMK and others. Leader of Opposition, Gulam Nabi Azad said, government should come out with a statement over the situation after the enactment of Citizenship Amendment Bill.<br />'' <br />'' Amid uproar, the Chairman tried to run the Question Hour and repeatedly urged the protesting members to go back to their seats as entire country is watching. As uproar continued, he adjourned the House till 1 PM.<br />'' <br />'' In Zero Hour, Congress leader Anand Sharma demanded to convene an all-party meeting over the situation in the North East.<br />'' <br />'' Earlier, the House was adjourned till 12 Noon following uproar by BJP members over the reported remarks of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on the rape incidents in the country.<br />'' <br />'' When the House met this morning, BJP member Sonal Mansingh raised the issue demanding apology from Mr. Gandhi. She was supported by other BJP members as well as JD(U) and AIADMK's MPs.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The protesting members trooped into the well raising slogans against the Congress leader. The Chairman repeatedly urged for order in the House but in vain. Congress members were also on their feet to counter the protesting BJP members. Later, he adjourned the House till 12 Noon.<br />'' <br />'' The Lok Sabha also witnessed uproar over Rahul Gandhi's reported comments today before it was adjourned sine die following two adjournments.<br />'' <br />'' Recently addressing a rally in Jharkhand, Rahul Gandhi had made the alleged objectionable remarks.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
