The Rajya Sabha has passed a Bill providing voting rights to Non-Resident Indians, NRIs. The Bill aims to provide voting rights to Indians, who have not acquired the citizenship of any other country. It also entitles them to register their names in the electoral rolls. The Bill was passed late on Monday night after a brief debate.
