Rajya Sabha faces repeated adjournments over K'taka crisis, Sonbhadra shooting

<span style="color: #222222;">The Rajya Sabha today faced repeated adjournments following ruckus by Opposition members on the Sonbhadra firing incident and political crisis in Karnataka. <br />''<br />''When the house reassembled at 2 P.M. after its first adjournment, the scene was no different as members from Congress, TMC, AAP and others raised the issues and trooped into the well. <br />''<br />''Left, SP and BSP members were also on their feet. Amidst the noisy scenes, the House took up the Protection of Human Rights (Amendment) Bill, 2019 for discussion which was objected to by the Opposition members saying that they were not given enough time to move amendments. <br />''<br />''Rejecting their objections, Deputy Chairman Harivansh allowed the discussion on the bill.  <br />''<br />''Prabhat Jha of the BJP spoke on the bill.  As pandemonium continued,  Deputy Chairman adjourned the House till 3 P.M.<br />''<br />''The Opposition continued to raise the same issues when the House reassembled at 3 P.M.  <br />''<br />''Elaram Kareem of CPI (M) moved the Amendment to refer to the Protection of Human Rights Amendment Bill to a Select Committee. <br />''<br />''Earlier in the pre-lunch session, the House witnessed two adjournments on Sonbhadra firing incident and Karnataka political crisis.</span>
