The Rajya Sabha has taken up a duration discussion on the situation in Nepal and the state of Indo-Nepal relations. Initiating the discussion Pawan Kumar Varma of the JD(U) said the government should have held consultations with all political parties on the situation in Nepal. He said a cohesive message should have been sent to Nepal when it was in trouble. Mr Varma said New Delhi should act like a friend to Khatmandu but not like a big brother.<br/><br/>Senior Congress leader, Dr Karan Singh said an anti-Indian feeling is growing in Nepal. He said Nepal is facing a lot of internal problems and Madhesis are also blocking the progress of Nepal.
