The Rajya Sabha today continued discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President for his address to the Joint Sitting of Parliament on 31st of January.<br/><br/>Resuming the discussion, Ram kumar Verma of BJP said, the Presidential address was praise-worthy and historic. He said combining the Rail budget with General budget is one of the highlights of the address. <br/><br/>Prem Chand Gupta of RJD alleged that the demonetization put the farmers into a pathetic condition. He said, the demonetization was ill-advised. Mr Gupta charged the government with changing the names of schemes. <br/><br/>Viplove Thakur of the Congress commented that there is nothing new in the President's address. She said, NDA has been changing the names of various schemes. The discussion remained inconclusive.
