Rajya Sabha condoles death of veteran journalist Cho Ramaswamy

Rajya Sabha paid homage to the veteran journalist Cho Ramaswamy, who passed away in Chennai this morning. When the House assembled, Chairman Hamid Ansari in his obituary reference said with the passing away of Cho Ramaswamy, the country has lost a noted journalist, writer and an able parliamentarian.<br/><br/>Cho Ramaswamy served the Upper House from November 1999 to November 2005. <br/><br/>Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the death of Cho Ramaswamy. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, Cho Ramaswamy was a multidimensional personality, towering intellectual, great nationalist and fearless voice, who was respected and admired. <br/><br/>Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has expressed grief on the demise Cho Ramaswamy. In a tweet, Mr Naidu said, he was a great Patriot, Journalist, Commentator and Nationalist to the core. <br/><br/>Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore said, Cho Ramaswamy was a fearless editor, character actor and a man of biting wit.
