Rajya Sabha candidates from Tamil Nadu & UP

In Tamil Nadu, the DMK candidates K.P.Ramalingam, T.M.Selvaganapathy and Thangavel today filed their nominations for the biennial Rajya Sabha Elections scheduled for the 17th of this month. The three candidates filed their papers before the secretary of the state legislative assembly Mr Selvaraj. Deputy Chief Minister Mr M.K.Stalin, Union Minister M.K.Alagiri, several central and state ministers were present during the filing of nominations. Meanwhile, the AIADMK has announced that Manoj Pandian and K.V. Ramalingam will be party candidates for the RS polls. <br/><br/>In Uttar Pradesh, three more nomination papers were filed for Rajya Sabha elections in Lucknow today. Congress candidate Capt. Satish Sharma and Samajwadi Party leaders Mohan Singh and Rashid Masood have filed their papers to the returning officer today.<br/>BJP National Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has already filed his nomination paper for the Rajya Sabha on the first day for nomination on Monday.<br/>Besides Congress State President Rita Bahuguna Joshi and Party Assembly leaders, the Rashtirya Lok Dal leaders were also present during Satish Sharma’s nomination. RLD is supporting Congress for both Legislative Council and Rajya Sabha election.<br/>The Bahujan Samaj Party has already announced the name of seven candidates for forthcoming Rajya Sabha election including Party National General Secretary Satish Chandra Mishra, the other party candidates are Ambeth Rajan, Jugal Kishore, Mhd Salim Ansari, Narendra Kumar Kashyap, S P Singh Baghel.<br/>The Rajya Sabha election for eleven seats from UP will be held on 17th of this month.<br/>
