Rajya Sabha today began discussion on the Union Budget 2016-17. Initiating the discussion nominated member Bhalchandra Mungekar said, BJP spends more time criticizing its previous UPA government than on governance. He said, while the international prices of oil dipped, the NDA government failed to take its advantage. <br/><br/>Mungekar said, any stable economy should be driven by direct tax revenue, whereas the share of direct taxes currently is lesser than indirect taxes, which is inflationary. Prabhat Jha of BJP held the Congress responsible for the slow economic growth of the country. The discussion is continuing.
