The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2PM today amidst noisy scenes by opposition Congress members who continued to insist that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should clarify on his remarks against his predecessor Dr Manmohan Singh. As soon as the House met for the day, Congress members trooped into the well of the House raising slogans against Mr. Modi.<br/><br/>Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad said the entire opposition has been waiting for the Prime Minister to come to the House and clarify on his remarks against Dr Singh. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Goel counter the opposition and asked how the Prime Minister will come to the House when the opposition continues to disturb the functioning of the House. <br/><br/>Chairman M Venkiah Naidu said that he condemns the behaviour of the agitating members and asked them not to level allegations against either Prime Minister or former Prime Minister. The Chair also referred to the observations made by the former Chairman Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma in the running of the House. Mr Naidu said the Chair has not given permission to suspend either the question hour or the zero hour. After that Congress members went back to their seats but continued to raise slogans. However, as noisy scenes continued the House was adjourned till 2 PM. The issue is being raised for the fifth day today.<br/><br/>
