Rajya Sabha adjourned sine die eight days ahead of scheduled time of Monsoon Session

Rajya Sabha was today adjourned sine die eight days ahead of the scheduled time of the Monsoon Session in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Monsoon Session which had begun on 14th of this month was scheduled to end on 1st of next month.<br />'' <br />''In his remarks, Chairman, M. Venkaiah Naidu said that 25 bills were passed and six were introduced in the Upper House during the 10-day session. He said, the productivity of the house was over 100 per cent. Referring to the unruly scene during the passage of two farm bills on Sunday, the Chairman urged the members to ensure that such an incident is not repeated in the future. He said, the members should realize their errors before finding a way out. He thanked all the members for attending the session in this difficult time. Mr. Naidu also lauded the role of COVID Warriors in the fight against this pandemic.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Lok Sabha will assemble at 6 P.M. and it is expected that the Lower House will also adjourn sine die today itself.</span><br />
