The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day today following the death of a sitting Congress member, Praveen Rashtrapal this morning. <br/><br/>Making an obituary reference, Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari said in the passing away of Rashtrapal, the country has lost a distinguished Parliamentarian, a noted trade unionist and a dedicated social worker. <br/><br/>He represented the State of Gujarat in the Rajya Sabha from April 2006 to April 2012 and again from April 2012 till his sad demise. Members observed silence as a mark of respect to the memory of the departed leader.
