Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has sanctioned delegation of emergency financial powers to Armed Forces Medical Services, AFMS to fight the recent surge in COVID-19 cases across the country. An emergency financial power of five crore rupees have been delegated to Director Generals Medical Service of Army, Navy and Air Force, three crore rupees financial power to Major General and it's equivalent rank and two crore rupees to Brigadier and equivalent rank. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Emergency powers to these Lower Controller of Finance and Accounts have been delegated upto 30th of September this year with a provision for revision or extension to expedite procurement of medical items for treatment and tackling of COVID-19 cases.</span><br />
