Rajnath Singh reviews status of CAPFIMS in New Delhi

Home Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the status of establishment of the Central Armed Police Forces Institute of Medical Sciences (CAPFIMS) in New Delhi. An official release said yesterday that the layout plan of the Institute was approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs in January this year. It said, a No Objection Certificates of local authorities has also been obtained, except from the Ministry of Environment and Forest. The Ministry said, as per the Forest Department, out of 54 acres land allotted to the CAPFIMS, 16 acres falls under Geo-morphological ridge area, where construction is prohibited. Hence, the Layout Plan is being revised.<br/><br/>In October, 2013, the government has approved the establishment of the CAPFIMS comprising of a 500-bed General Hospital, a 300-bed Super Specialty Hospital, a Nursing College and a School of Paramedics at an estimated cost of more than one thousand 368 crore rupees at Maidangarhi in New Delhi.
