Rajnath Singh reviews security, law & order situation of J&K

Home Minister & Governor discussed various important issues relating to security management, implementation of development programmes and positive engagement of the youth in the State. Governor briefed Home Minister about the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra.</div>''<div><br />''</div>''<div>Rajnath Singh and Ajit Doval had separate meetings last evening wherein they reviewed overall security situation in Kashmir. They were briefed about the issues, challenges on militancy front, cross border and LoC infiltration and preparedness of the security agencies.</div>''<div><br />''</div>''<div>This is the Home Minister's first visit to the state following the collapse of PDP-BJP coalition government after BJP pulled out of coalition and Governor's rule was imposed on June 20.</div>''<div><br />''</div>''<div>AIR correspondent reports that the ongoing high level meeting is discussing and reviewing the security and prevailing ground situation in the State particularly in Kashmir region. The law & order situation and PM's Development Package and other developmental projects in the State, are also being discussed in the meeting. Official sources said the meeting was briefed about various security issues and challenges and also apprised about the  preparedness to meet any security challenge. Meanwhile, Home Minister could not visit the Amarnath Cave Shrine today due to inclement weather. The Amaranth Yatra is temporarily halted due to inclement weather on the 2nd consecutive day. Singh will return to Delhi in the late afternoon.</div>
