Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that the Left Wing Extremism, LWE, situation has shown massive improvement in recent months throughout the country. He said, the spread of LWE affected districts has declined to 141 in 2015 from 162 districts in 2014. He said, this has become possible due to efforts of security agencies and developmental programmes and policies of the government.<br/><br/>Mr Singh said this while reviewing the LWE scenario in Andhra Pradesh at a meeting with senior officials in Vishakhapatnam yesterday. The Home Minister also underlined the importance of Inter-State cooperation of Andhra Pradesh with the neighbouring states. Mr Singh said the Centre has approved construction of fortified police stations in Andhra Pradesh. The Ministry has also approved one extra battalion of BSF in the State. Under the second phase of Road Requirement Plan, the Centre has approved the construction of 1,200 kilometers roads in Andhra Pradesh.
