Rajnath Singh may quit as BJP chief early

Signals emanating from BJP say that the Party President, Mr. Rajnath Singh may quit the post a few weeks ahead of his term which comes to an end on 31st of next month. <br/>Mr. Singh told reporters in New Delhi that he will hold discussions with party office bearers on the issue. Playing down his exit from the party, he said, it is the natural process and he will take a final call on the issue soon. <br/>Party sources told our correspondent that Mr. Rajnath Singh is keen to focus on his home state of Uttar Pradesh where party has not been performing well. The RSS leadership has already announced that the new BJP chief will be from outside Delhi.<br/>Mr. Nitin Gadkari, President of Maharashtra unit of the party is the front runner for the top post in the main opposition party in the country. Observers say the party may opt for a fresh face to steer clear the organizational factionalism. <br/>
