In Madhya Pradesh, Centrally sponsored Rajiv Aawas Yojna will be implemented in all the Municipal Corporations of the state. AIR Correspondent reports that this scheme aims at making the cities slum-free.State’s Urban Administration and Development Minister Gaur has informed that Union Housing and Urban Poverty Eradication Minister Sushri Selja has given consent to implemented the Rajiv Awaas Yojna in all the Municipal Corporations of the state. Six cities of the state have already been selected under the scheme. These cities are Indore , Bhopal , Jabalpur , Gwalior , Sagar and Ujjain . Proposed pilot projects to the tune of 213 crore 54 lakh rupees have been sanctioned for Indore , Jabalpur , Sagar an Gwalior . Under the pilot projects, six slums will be rehabilitated in Indore , 4 in Jabalpur , 5 in Gwalior and 3 in Sagar. One-third amount of Central Share worth about. 31.43 crore rupees has been released.
