Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Mr. Ajay Maken today announced that Freedom Fighter Railway passes will be honoured in Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express trains. <br/><br/>Addressing the first meeting of newly constituted eminent freedom fighters commiittee today at Dona Paula near Panaji in Goa Mr. Maken said the government is thinking to provide more medical facilities to the freedom fighters. He called upon the freedom fighters Associations to cooperate with the government authorities so that genuine freedom fighters get the pensionary benefits,keeping away the bogus ones. <br/><br/>The Union Minister said the Government has formed freedom fighters committes on all India basis and each state has represented on it. He said the Home Ministry is preparing data base of freedom fighters and so far 35000 freedom fighters bio data has been collected. Earlire, Mr. A.K. Goel, Joint Secretary, Department of Home Affairs said no claims of any freedom fighters are pending. The commiittee discussed the general problems and grievances of freedom fighters and gave suggestions for their expeditious redressal.
