Rajasthan Energy Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh and Gurjur leader Col. Kirori Singh Bainsala held two and half an hour long talks to resolve the Gurjar reservation issue. Later, Col. Bainsala said that he talked to the minister at length and now he will hold discussions with his delegation. The Minister said that it was an informal talk and the matter will be resolved soon. He said that Col. Bainsala will meet with Group of Ministers on Wednesday.Centre to provide assistance to Binayak Sen’s familyThe Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram said that the government will provide assistance to the wife of Binayak Sen who has been convicted of sedition if she has any genuine apprehensions about her safety. He was replying to a question on the media reports about Mrs. Sen expressing fears about her and her daughters safety. Mr. Chidambaram also said that if the judgement convicting Mr. Sen is unsatisfactory as many make it out to be, the only way it can be corrected is filing an appeal.
