Rajasthan witnesses impact of state-wide bandh

<span style="color: #222222;">In Rajasthan, an impact of the state-wide bandh was witnessed on Wednesday (6th December 2023) in protest against the murder of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena President Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. The organization had called for a statewide bandh on Wednesday (6th December 2023). Markets remained closed in many districts including the capital Jaipur and Jodhpur, Kota, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Chittorgarh, Churu and Udaipur.  Schools, colleges and coaching institutes remained closed on Wednesday (6th December 2023).<br />''<br />''There were reports of vandalism at many places and protesters blocked traffic at many places. Principal Secretary of the Home Department, Anand Kumar said that the government is considering handing over the investigation of the murder case to  National Investigation Agency (NIA) . The Police have constituted SIT under the supervision of ADG Crime Dinesh MN for a thorough investigation of the case.<br />''Meanwhile, Governor Kalraj Mishra held a high-level meeting at Raj Bhavan regarding the law and order situation in the state. The Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Director General of Police and Jaipur Police Commissioner and other senior officials attended the meeting.<br />''<br />''In the meeting, Chief Secretary Usha Sharma informed that the situation is being continuously monitored at the District Collector level across the state. Three companies have also been deployed at the central government level. It is noteworthy that Mr Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was murdered by shooters yesterday at his house in Jaipur. Police have identified two shooters and efforts are on to nab them.</span><br />
