In Rajasthan, in view of the severe cold wave conditions, winter vacation in government and private schools in most of the districts have been extended by two more days. Along with this, the education department has authorized the district administration to change the timings of private and government schools and declare holiday till January 15.<br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports that the Met Department has issued a cold wave alert in the state for the next two days. The minimum temperature in five cities – Sikar, Churu, Fatehpur, Mount Abu and Jobner of Jaipur come down into minus. Temperature was recorded around freezing point in these cities for the third consecutive day.  Along with human being , animals and birds are also suffering due to severe cold in night and day . The day temperature has also dropped below 20 degree Celsius in most of the cities.<br />'' <br />''Dense fog has affected rail and road traffic in many districts. The Met Department has issued a red alert for severe cold wave in Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Churu, Nagaur and Sriganganagar districts on Thursday. Apart from this, orange alert has been sounded for seven districts and yellow alert for 10 districts.
