In Rajasthan, the western part of the state is witnessing a big locust attack. Our correspondent reports that Locust control organization and District Administration are making all efforts to control the further movement of locust.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''<br />''&quot;This summer, the first attack of locust was witnessed at Pokran in Jaislamer District on 21st May. This has affected more than 5 thousand 500 hectares area. Locust control measures are being carried out in the affected areas.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Officials of Agriculture Department told that locust are targeting only wild trees and plants, so far. Prior to this, Locust had attacked western Rajasthan in 2010 when 4 thousand 700 hectares area was affected. A Similer attack took place in 2005 affecting around 16 thousand hectares area.</span><br />
