Rajasthan government has decided to fix quota in promotion for SC and ST employees working with the state government. This will be 16 per cent for SC employees and 12 per cent for ST employees. The decision to this effect was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in Jaipur last night. The state government has clarified that if this limit is already crossed, then no official will be demoted and government will create shadow posts for them. The government said, orders passed by the high court will be complied with. The cabinet also discussed Bhatnagar committees’ report which was constituted after the court's order over reservation in promotions.
