The Rajasthan Government has decided to constitute State level Mela(Fair) Authority and Distt level Mela committies for various fairs in the state. The decision has been taken in a meeting of State Cabinet at Jaipur. The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The main objective for the constitution of the Mela Authority is to provide basic facilities to the Pilgrims during the religious fairs and other festivals. Apart from this there would be a District Level Mela Committee in each district to be constituted by the Administrative Reforms Department.
