Rajasthan reels under cold waves

Despite slight rise in the night temperatures, entire Rajasthan is reeling under cold wave conditions. According to Met. Department, lowest minus 0.5 degree Celsius temperature was recorded at Mt. Abu. Chilled winds also affected normal life in northern Rajasthan.Our Correspondent reports that, the people of Rajasthan are feeling the bite of chilled winds for more that a week. Northern Rajasthan is worst hit by cold wave where minimum temperatures at many places are less than four degree Celsius. Lowest minus 0.5 Celsius temperature was recorded at Mt. Abu. But the cold conditions are not in any way preventing the tourist to reach there for Winter festival. In plains Churu was coldest with 1.9 Degree celsius.The people of Ganganagar, Sikar and Bharatpur also did not get respite from the biting cold. Rail and road traffic also remained disrupted due to fog. MeT Department has given warning of ground frost in coming two days as some places.
