Severe heat is affecting almost entire Rajasthan. Mercury touched 40 degree Celsius in the morning hours at Kota and Churu. Our correspondent reports that normal life is being affected due to heat.First half of May was pleasant due to rain in many parts of the state but now dust storms and rising temperature is affecting normal life. In the desert districts like Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner and Churu road traffic is also being affected due to dust storms. Problem of drinking water in rural areas is increasing and the state government is providing drinking water through tankers in many districts. More than 500 water tankers have been engaged for supply of drinking water in remote areas. Rajasthan Scouts and Guides has started an unique campaign to save birds from severe heat. Scouts are putting one lakh water pots at public places in entire state. This campaign was started from Jaipur and lot of birds could be seen near these water pots. According to met office of Jaipur People would get some relief from heat as light rain may occur in Jaipur and few other places in next 12 hours
