In Rajasthan, a new variety of hybrid millets  MPMH-17 developed at Mandore Agricultural University is becoming very popular among farmers.<br />'' <br />''The new variety is found to be rich in iron and zinc elements, which will also prove to be effective in ending malnutrition.  This variety is capable of giving high yields, especially in drought-prone areas of western Rajasthan. Presently it has been sown in more than 70 percent area in the Jodhpur district.<br />'' <br />''The hybrid variety MPMH-17 was first sown on a large scale in the Daikda village of Jodhpur district by more than 300 farmers.  As compared to other varieties of Millets this variety has good yields.  It has become popular all over Rajasthan and is being sown in most parts of the state.
