In Rajasthan, the Income Tax Department has seized 20 lockers of 2 private locker agencies in Jaipur. The department seized valuables worth 15 Crore 68 lakh rupees in these lockers. The valuables also included 1.29 crore cash, 13.47 Crore worth of Jewellery and 91 lakh 75 thousand other valuables. The raid started on the 29th of last month was completed today. Our correspondent reports the money is still unclaimed and the department said that action will be initiated against the private agencies and tax invaders. All these lockers were being operated with fake names. The DG Investigation of IT department Brajesh Gupta said, that this is the biggest seizure by the department in Rajasthan. He said that, these locker agencies were not following KYC (Know Your Customer) norms while hiring lockers.
