Rajasthan HC quashes Rathor’s acquittal in Dara Singh encounter case

The Rajasthan High Court has today quashed the lower courts order of acquittal of former minister and BJP whip Rajendra Rathor in Dara Singh fake encounter case.

Justice Ajay Rastogi ordered Rathor to surrender before the court with immediate effect, Justice Rastogi accepted the revision petitions filed by CBI and wife of Dara Singh Sushila Devi.

They challenged the Jaipur District Courts 31st May order in which charges against Rathor were rejected Rathor was arrested by CBI on 5th April.

The District judge P.K.Jain in his order said that charges against Rathor were baseless and CBI had not sufficient evidences against him. Dara singh was killed in a police encounter in 2006 at Jaipur
