The Rajasthan Government has started procurement of bajra at the minimum support price of 980 rupees per quintal at 28 centres in 13 districts from today. The procurement of urad and groundnut also begin in Bikaner, kota and Bundi districts.Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies Babulal Nagar said that 13 districts were such where the production of bajra had been estimated to have crossed 1 lakh metric tonnes. The procurement in other districts would depend on the Collector's recommendation. Mr. Nagar said that committees have been appointed for each Krishi Upaj Mandi for deciding the quality of bajra to be procured. Groundnut will be procured on minimum support price of 2700 Rs and Urad on 3300 Rs per quintal.
