<span style="color: #222222;">Rajasthan Government has requested central government to provide additional resources to check further movement of locust in the state. In a letter to Agriculture and farmers welfare minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot stated that centre should immediately provide human resource and facilities for spray of insecticide. AIR correspondent reports that  six districts of the state are witnessing locust attack since last four Months.  Locust control measures are being carried out in the affected areas by State Governemnt and locust control organization. But the locust outbreak has increased in last few days due to further attack of locust from Pakistan in Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Jodhpur districts. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It may damage the crops. The state government has said that it is necessary to air spray of insecticides in Jodhpur, Bikaner and Jaisalmer districts without any delay. Locust control activities have been carried out in about 1 lakh 50 thousand hectare area in the state, so far. State government has provided subsidy to farmers for spraying insecticides in orders to control locust. This summer, the first attack of locust was witnessed at Pokran in Jaislamer District on 21st May.</span><br />
