The Rajasthan Government has started recruitment of 50, 000 posts of teachers in Panchayat areas. Addressing a press conference in Jaipur on Monday the Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Gehlot said that the Government has decided to transfer powers of five departments -Primary Education, Health, Agriculture, Social Justice and Child & Woman Development to Panchayats and this work has started. He said that the Government is committed to empower Panchayati Raj institutions and for this purpose it has been decided appoint IAS officers as CEO in Zila Parishads of all seven divisional head quarters. Mr. Gehlot said that Social Justice Officers would also be deputed at all 249 blocks in the State.
