In Rajasthan, talks between Gujjar leaders and state government are moving in right direction. The first phase of the third round talks concluded late last night and the second phase will start today. The 51 member Gujjar delegation held talks with a group of 3 ministers of the State government to resolve the issue. Energy Minister Jitendra Singh told media perons that consensus has evolved on some demands including jobs to the family members of victims of previous Gujjar agitations and compensation to the injured. Gujjar leaders demanded to convene special session of the state assembly to discuss 5 percent reservation to Gujjar community. Talks on this demand will continue. Meanwhile, the agitation seeking reservation for Gujjars in government jobs has entered the 15th day today.
