In Rajasthan, commenting on the high court judgment over extension of ban on SBC reservation Act for another one year, Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Gehlot said that the judgment will be got examined by the Law Department. Any further action in this matter will be taken in consultation with the Gujjar Leaders.Earlier in the day the Rajasthan High Court has extended the stay on SBC Reservation Act for another one year. This act provides for five per cent reservation to the Special Backward Classes including Gujjars. The Rajasthan High Court bench, comprising of Chief Justice Arun Mishra and Justice Mahesh Bhagwati has directed the state government to collect fresh data about the educational, social and economic backwardness of the castes and communities to be included in the SBCs within one year. After this exercise Government should come with fresh proposal containing full facts and figures for providing reservation to these castes.Meanwhile, Gujjar Leader Colonel Kirodi Singh Bainsla said that the Gujjar community respects the judgment, but they will continue their agitation till their demand is fulfilled. He has now demanded five per cent reservation from the OBC quota.Meanwhile, the Gujjar agitation has further spread in Dausa, Ajmer, Boondi and Chittorgarh districts. In Ajmer, the Gujjars blocked Jaipur-Ajmer national highway and staged demonstrations at other places. The train services on Delhi Mumbai still remains disrupted as the Maha-Padav continues in Pilupura in Bharatpur district.
